John Hudson McGriff

McGRIFF John Hudson McGriff, 68, of Louisville, KY, passed away March 28, 2010. He was a retired professor of political science and history, most recently teaching at Somerset Community College. Throughout his career, he also taught at Union College, The University of Mississippi and Dakota Wesleyan University. Dr. McGriff earned his B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from the Ohio State University. He was a member of Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine McGriff; a daughter, Lisa McGriff-Blackmon; son-in-law, Lance Blackmon; and his two grandsons, Cash and Dane. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Hazelle McGriff. A memorial celebration will be held at Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church, 311 Browns Lane, Louisville, KY on Saturday, April 10 at 12Noon. Interment will be at Cave Hill Cemetery in a private ceremony. Arrangements under the direction of PEARSON'S, 502-896-0349.
