"Former Celina Senior High Principal Robert K. Brandon, 66, 802 Kingswood Dr., died at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, of an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Brandon was born June 26, 1920, in Celina to Lester and Florence [Kelsey] Brandon. He married Dorotha Neher Sept. 14, 1942, and she survives, with two sons, Robert K. Brandon Jr., Hillsdale, Ill; and Terry A. Brandon, Salem, Ore; a daughter, Mrs Robert [Deanne] Seeley, Bourbonnais, Ill; six grandchildren; and a brother, William Brandon, Celina.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Mr. Brandon was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Celina, where he was active in the church choir. He was a member of the Celina Lions and the Celina Lodge 241 Free and Accepted Masons, and was past president of the Mercer County American Red Cross chapter. He was also a 20-gallon donor to the Red Cross blood program.

Mr. Brandon was a member of the Alumni Association of Indiana University, where he received his master's degree. He was a graduate of Celina High and earned his bachelor of arts degree from Manchester College. He served with the army medical corps in World War II.

He had retired as CHS principal after serving the local school system for 35 years, including earlier periods as high school football and basketball coach.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Church, the Rev. Paul Brown officiating. The family will receive friends in the church one hour before the service, and immediately following it in the church fellowship hall.

The body was cremated; Stein and Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, had charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial scholarship fund at Celina High for young people pursuing a career in sports medicine or physical therapy, or to St. Paul United Methodis Church."
