
William White

"William G. White, 69, 1042 Hemlock St., Celina, history teacher in the Celina city school system for 16 years, died at 9:10 a.m. today at Community Hospital Coldwater. Death was due to a heart attack.
He was born Feb 14, 1907, in Erlanger, Ky., the son of Robert John and Nellie [McCormack] White.
He married Iris Holmes July 3, 1935, and she survives with a son, Robert J., Celina; a daughter, Mrs. John [Nancy] Holden, Smyrus, Ga., and a grandson, Christopher Holden.
Mr. White retired in 1973 after service as a teacher for 16 years at Celina High School. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Celina, and served in the army Corps in North Aftrica and Italy in World War II.
Gravesite services will be held Monday at Maple grove Cemetery at Granville. Friends may call at Vale-Stein-Lehman Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday."
