"Darst E. Davis, 61, 829 Murlin Ave., Celina, died June 1, 2002 at his residence. Death was due to natural causes. He was born Dec 31, 1940, in Rockford, to Lawrence and Lora Faye [Stetler] Davis. Surviving are a son and his wife, Dino and Julia of West Chester; a daughter, Dana Davis Courtney, Atlanta, Ga.; a sister and her husband, Janice and Merle Black, and a sister, Brenda Swain, all of Celina; and four grandchildren.

He retired as a custodian from Celina West Elementary School after 23 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1291, Loyal Order of Moose Chapter 1473, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, American Legion Post 210 and AmVets, all Celina."
