Obituary
Mary “Ruth” Wade died quietly on Sunday December 13th after a struggle with COVID.
Ruth was born 9-02-1941 in Celina Ohio. Mary graduated from Celina High School in 1959 and moved to Milwaukee to attend the Milwaukee Institute of Technology. There she met William Harold Olson. She married William 2-02-1964 and had two daughters. Chris Drosdick (56) and Laura Kidd (52). Mary also has two grandchildren, Jon (22) and Sophia (20). At the time of Williams death in 2018, they had been married 54 years. Ruth worked side by side for many years with William, running Olson Auto Supply and National Automotive. Even as her dementia progressed in the memory facility, she would “work” to “take care of the guys” at the stores.
Mary will be remembered for her sparking blue eyes, quick wit, and love of animals. She was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed painting, stained glass, Frank Sinatra, spending time on the water, her grandchildren, Christmas, cheeseburgers, ice cream and chocolate.
In lieu of a traditional funeral, Mary wished for a celebration of life. Her celebration will be held in Celina, Ohio July 2021. Donations can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
