After her grandparents passed away she began working doing alterations for the Mens Shop in Celina for five years. She then started babysitting for 20 years and provided childcare to over 175 children. She was employed by the Mercer County Farm Services until she became Ill. Ginny then created her own business called Ginny's Spinning Wheels, specializing in cakes, catering and silk flower arrangements for weddings, graduations, anniversaries, prom and all occasions. Her business grew into making wedding veils, jewelry, candy, cookies, pies, noodles and sewing, all done from her wheelchair. Ginny was raised to be a hard worker and not to be "handicapped". She eventually learned to drive. Her grandparents inspired her and encouraged her to live life to the fullest.
