DOLPHUS MOSES, 87, of 1138 Amherst Drive, passed away at 12:58 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 5, 1927 in Pleasantview, Kentucky, the son of the late Harlan and Rushie (Davenport) Moses.
Dolphus was married to Barbara Schwenzer-Moses, who survives, along with two stepsons; David (Jenny) Schwenzer of St. Henry, OH, and Daniel (Tisha) Schwenzer of Botkins, OH, two grandsons; David Moses of Maplewood, OH, and Jamie Moses of Chicago, IL, five step-grandchildren, one brother, Burl (Wilma) Moses, and two sisters; Evalie (Hugh) Bray, and Carolyn (Richard) Reading, all three of Sidney, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, David Eugene Moses, four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Moses was a retired stock clerk from Monarch Machine Tool, Co. where he worked for more than twenty years. He was a member of the Senior Center of Sidney. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Crossroads Church Of God, 9330 Looney Road, Piqua, with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S.
